I did not even realise by first glimpse that these statues are alive! Yes , they are live statues. They are human beings, not made of stones.
I am falling short of words describing them. Skilled make up, extremely controlled body movements and most of all , the patience, to stand there for all day long , tolerating all kinds of comments and gestures, posing for tourists …. I think all these take a great deal of commitment towards work. I don’ t know how much they earn, I don’t know if they are featured in any media …but to me , they are great artists. Hats off !

They have such stamina to stand still for such long periods of time!

My dad used to live there so I’ve been lucky enough to see the none tourist side. Tiny little cava bar that looks like nothing much hidden down a side street, the market, the amazing architecture. Lots of hidden squares that come alive at night, amazing place!

That first one is mildly creepy. Except for the eyes, you’d almost never know it was a real person! Very cool pictures. 🙂

The detail on these outfits is amazing. And the stamina to hold their positions throughout the day is incredible.
