Travellers are crazy about Paris, yet I think I love to more place in France better than Paris, one is NICE where I have been, another is Pic Du Midi, I hope to be in some day. Nice is the second most preferable tourist attraction for most people, and it is a quiet coast city with amazing beach, a very busy port , numbers of super luxurious hotels and a beautiful old town.
The port of Nice is also known as Lympia port. This name comes from the Lympia spring which fed a small lake in a marshy zone where work on the port was started in 1745. Nice Côte d’Azur is about 20 miles west of the Italian border. The port is in the heart of the city and connects Corsican destinations . Facilities in the two ferry terminals include a tourist office, air-conditioned entrance hall, car parking facility, phone, toilets, showers and baby changing area.
Two ferry companies operate sailings from Nice to Corsica: Corsica Sardinia Ferries and SNCM Ferries. Nice to Bastia, Calvi, Ajaccio and Ile Rousse ferries are available every day. Various cruise services are also available.
It is situated in the Old Nice. Through land, the port is accessible by road or train. People can also come by car, since the port has two large car parks. It also accommodates the private yachts of tourists who come by their own water craft. If you are staying near city centre you can just walk to the port as well. The bus route A8 connects it to Italy. 100 no. Bus for Monaco is also available near the port in every half an hour. There is an internet facility area right in the port , which is great. I hope you will enjoy visiting the port while staying in NICE.
